Shura Chairman receives statistical report of second legislative term

Shura Council Chairman, H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, stressed the importance of documenting the achievements and actions of the legislative branch in the field of legislation within the efforts of developing Bahrain's legislation and laws to pass the documented achievements for future generations and to contribute to support researches and scientific studies in the legislative field, as well as to highlight the development of the Shura Council's constitutional march and the democratic practices followed in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He praised, during receiving Shura Council's Secretary-General, Mr. Abduljalil Ibrahim Al-Tareef, who presented the statistical report of the second legislative term, in the presence of Director of Sessions Affairs, Mr. Abdulnasser Al-Siddiqi, and Chief of Session Affairs, Mr. Khalid Bu-Jerry, the key contributions of Shura members to accomplish these achievements.

Mr. Al-Tareef commended H.E. Al-Saleh's continuous efforts for following up the performance of the Shura's Secretariat and its staff and his keenness to push the efforts of documentation of Shura achievements, asserting the Secretariat's efforts to provide full support for Shura members.

The statistical report includes the Shura Council's work achieved during the second legislative term from 15 December 2006 - 11 May 2010, in addition to tables, graphs and statistics document the achievements of the Shura in four terms.
