On the occasion of International Woman's Day, which falls on the 8th of March, the Shura Council extends good wishes especially to Bahraini woman and the Arab and the world women in general, expressing appreciation for the significant role played by Bahraini woman in various fields.

The Shura Council praised highly the care granted to Bahraini woman by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and HM's unprecedented concern giving woman her full rights, in appreciation for her considerable role in political development in the Kingdom, and her contributions in various fields and different domains.

The Council also expressed pride and appreciation for the role played by the Wife of His Majesty and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Woman Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeekha bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, and her Highness's continued support for Bahraini woman, as well as  bolstering her capabilities in the economic and political contribution.

In this context, the Council stressed it will spare no effort to achieve further accomplishments towards  the empowerment of Bahraini women, supporting and strengthening her efforts through the enactment of more draft laws and bill proposals relating to women, hailing in this regard the role played by the Council's members of women.

On the occasion, the Shura Council wished Bahraini woman further success to achieve her aspirations, hopes and expectations.
