Bahrain, Burundi affirm parliamentary diplomatic cooperation

Burundi National Council for the Defense of Democracy and Forces for the Defense of Democracy (CNDD-FDD) Secretary-General Reverien Ndikuriyo received Shura Council First Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohamed Fakhro and Second Deputy Chairperson Jameela Ali Salman.
The meeting came on the sidelines of their participation in the ninth consultative meeting of the Association of Senates, Shura, and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), hosted by Burundi.
The secretary-general praised the council’s participation and stressed that it comes within the Kingdom’s framework to enhance parliamentary work and strengthen African and Arab relations.
He stressed that his country is keen to build Burundi-Bahraini and praised the progress and prosperity witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields.
The shura representatives affirmed the importance of strengthening joint legislative branch relations and investing in parliamentary diplomacy to support bilateral development.
