H.E. Al Saleh receives Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament

Chairman of the Shura Council H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received here today the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament H.E. Mohammed Sahib Al-Iman and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom.

H.E. Al Saleh lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations, affirming the kingdom's keen desire to bolster them further, especially in the parliamentary field, so as to meet the aspirations of the two countries' wise leaderships and friendly peoples.

He expressed Bahrain's appreciation of the honourable stances of the Indonesian government and people in support of the kingdom at all levels.

He asserted that the Bahraini women's representation in the Shura Council reflected the leadership's interest to consolidate women's status in society, being essential in public and private establishments for their widely praised competence and skills.

They reviewed bilateral relations in the parliamentary, economic, political and cultural fields and ways to strengthen them for the common benefits of their two peoples, highlighting the importance of coordinating parliamentary stances at international parliamentary gatherings.

Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian parliament hailed the Kingdom's progress and prosperity at all levels under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchange of expertise among parliaments, praising the Shura Council's role in the kingdom's parliamentary work.

He expressed the Indonesian parliament's desire to continue cooperating with the Shura and Representatives councils in Bahrain at international gatherings.
