​ His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a cable of thanks and appreciation from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam.
The Speaker extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for patronising the opening ceremony of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings, hosted by the kingdom on March 11-15 under the theme: "Promoting peaceful coexistence and inclusive societies: Fighting intolerance."
Speaker Al-Musallam praised HM King Hamad's patronage of the 146th IPU Assembly, commending Bahrain's distinguished international status and effective role.
The Representatives Council Speaker expressed his pride in the kingdom's successful hosting the 146th IPU Assembly, confirming the International Community's confidence in the kingdom's distinguished organisational capabilities.
He wished HM the King abundant health and happiness, as well as continued success in bringing about more progress and prosperity to the kingdom.
