Shura special session

SHURA Council members were yesterday adamant about finding solutions to Bahrain's political turmoil, saying the situation was getting worse by the hour.

They will hold an extraordinary session tomorrow to debate the issue and allow those absent yesterday to attend.

Councillor Lulwa Al Awadhi sparked a fierce debate with a suggestion to set up a mini-committee to meet with Pearl Roundabout protesters.

"To solve a problem, we have to identify it and without us going there and listening to what they have to say Bahrain will continue seeing troubles," she said.

Councillors also managed to approve some articles in the new Child Law with the rest to be debated in the presence of Social Development Minister Dr Fatima Al Balooshi next week.
