Shura female members participate in Arab women parliamentarians' applied diploma launch

Shura Council’s female members today participated in the launch of the first Applied Diploma for Women Parliamentarians in the Arab World, themed “Modern Skills for Women Parliamentarians’ Parliamentary Work”, organised by the Centre for Arab Parliamentary Diplomacy at the Arab Parliament, under the patronage of the Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.


The opening ceremony of the first Applied Diploma for Arab Women Parliamentarians featured a speech by the Speaker, and a statement by the Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi.


The female members of the Shura Council stressed the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination among Arab parliaments, as well as the need to enhance communication among Arab women parliamentarians to highlight the pivotal role they are playing, exchange expertise and push Arab parliamentary work forward, towards more success and distinction.
