The conferees discussed the role of decision makers in light of the growing climate change and its present and future environmental effects, the global financial crunch, ways of rescuing green zones and reducing gas emissions.
The Bahraini delegation outlined the Kingdom's experience in environment protection and limitation of climate change through relevant regulations and legislation in addition to the committee it had been created to investigate into environmental issues.
The delegation also pointed out to the government's consent to join the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to avail of the opportunity of sharing with the international community the benefits of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in health, electricity, educational and agricultural fields.
