The Shura Council has condemned the deragatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) issued by the ruling party in India and stressed that these extremist statements provoked all Muslims around the world.
The Council affirmed its rejection of any reprehensible abuse of the Prophet as an incitement to religious hatred.
The Shura expressed deep concern over the statements that fuel hatred and extremism and stressed the importance of respecting all religious beliefs and figures, and spreading the values of tolerance and dialogue among religions and civilizations.
