Meeting No (10), December 26th, 2011 – Second Convening Period – Third Legislative Term

Shura Council held its session this morning under the chairmanship of HE Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh.

Shura Council extended new year greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and to the people of Bahrain.

Shura council wishes the near year to be full of achievement and accomplishment for further progress and prosperity.

It also extended season greetings to the Christians in Bahrain and all over the world over.

The council agreed on the draft reply to His Majesty's speech, and to be referred to His Majesty following inclusion of remarks and comments.

The Council decided approving a draft law regarding the International Convention No. (138) of 1973 concerning the minimum age for employment, associated with the Royal Decree No. (19) for 2010.

Also the council approved a draft law amending some provisions of the Public Security Force, issued via the Decree by Law No. (3) for 1982, accompanying the Royal Decree No. (18) for 2010,    "equal treatment of women members of the public security forces with regard to leave, breastfeeding, motherhood and death with their counterparts from civil service."
