Council's Office Statement - 25 February 2013

The Bureau of the Council held its meeting this morning under the chairmanship of H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, in presence of First Deputy Chairman Jamal Fakhro, Second Deputy Chairman Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi, Heads of Standing Committees, Secretary General and the legal advisor of the Council.

The Bureau stressed on approving all draft laws which achieved further development to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its people under the rule of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

The Bureau reviewed the letter from the Minister of Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs Abdul-Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Fadhel concerning the necessity to complete approving the draft law relating to treating GCC flag as Bahrain's as soon as possible.

Then, the Bureau looked into the incoming letters and took the necessary action, and reviewed the reports of the Inter-Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain concerning participating in the international conferences and forums.

Finally, the Bureau reviewed a number of draft laws and bill proposals which are under study by Council's committees. The Bureau approved the agenda for the next session of the Shura Council, which included a number of draft laws as following, organization of sea sand dredging and the selling of it, approving the agreement between Bahrain and Estonia concerning avoiding double taxation and financial evasion on income tax and amending article 34 of penal law.
