His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to increase the monthly allowances for the 11,000 orphans and widows sponsored by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) won praise.
Shura Council President Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh paid tribute to HM the King for issuing the directives which, he said, reflected HM the King’s keenness on the living conditions of orphans and widows, leaving a positive impact on their families.
He lauded the generous gesture in support of orphans and widows to ensure them decent living conditions, in light of royal directives amid challenges and circumstances resulting from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
He hailed the RHF-led role, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor.
He praised the pivotal role of the foundation since its establishment in 2001 in caring orphans and widows, through various programmes and initiatives, including the Feena Khair campaign which was launched last April in support of national efforts to combat the pandemic.
“The Royal Humanitarian Foundation is one of the fruits of the reform project. Led by HM the King”, he said, hailing charity projects and programmes that reflect its lofty humanitarian mission.
