Shura Chairman praises keenness on boosting citizens' welfare

 Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised the Cabinet’s decision today to raise  by %3 for this year the pension of retirees getting less than BD 500. He stressed that the decision issued by the Cabinet in its meeting chaired remotely today by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, will contribute to boosting social stability for Bahraini families through continuous improvement of their living conditions.
 
Al Saleh noted that the decision is in line with the continuous directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to boost citizens’ welfare by providing every support to them. He pointed out the unrelenting efforts of the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the aspirations of HM the King and the Bahraini people out of belief that citizens’ security and stability is a prerequisite for the continuity of the comprehensive development march.
 
Al Saleh affirmed that the ongoing government initiatives to promote citizens’ welfare and pump more financial liquidity into the national economy despite the economic and financial repercussions undergone by the world because of COVID-19 pandemic asserts keenness of HM the King on citizens’ interests as a top priority.
 
The Shura Council Chairman underlined the council’s support to the government’s efforts to bring about further achievements for citizens and enhance family and social stability. He also lauded the pioneering role of the specialized parliamentary committees to coordinate efforts with the government to reach consensual decisions aimed at serving the public interest.
