Shura Council Human Rights Committee Chairperson Dr. Aisha Salim Mubarak today received a delegation from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights led by Frej Fennich, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Section. UNDP Resident Representative Peter Grohmann attended.

The session stressed the necessity of building mechanisms to protect human rights and the role of the Shura Council panel in the legislative authority in the coming period.
