Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at Shura Council held its meeting today under the Chairmanship of Dr. Shaikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in presence of the delegates represented by Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

The Committee discussed with the concerned parties, the draft law amending some provisions of the Penal Code issued with Decree No. (15) for 1976 regarding crimes of murder, breaching decency, assault on places of residence, threatening with weapons, insulting, disclosure of secrets, theft, fraud, dishonesty, usury and insulting the National Council.

That draft law is prepared in the light of the law proposal submitted by the Council of Representatives, where the committee was satisfied with the concerned parties, and decided to continue its discussion during its next meeting.
