Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee yesterday lauded His Majesty King Hamad's directives to boost employment in the Interior Ministry, asserting that protecting national accomplishments is the duty of every Bahraini citizen.
"Undoubtedly, giving Bahraini citizens the chance to assume that necessary national duty by enhancing the services provided by the Interior Ministry and creating job opportunities that can absorb all unemployed people in the kingdom is a step that deserves to be respected and appreciated," the committee said.
It also praised the Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa's efforts to recruit 20,000 new Bahraini employees, stressing the crucial importance of the role to be played by those who will join the military which enjoys a special place among Bahraini citizens.
During its meeting yesterday, under the chairmanship of Dr Salah Ali, the committee welcomed the Bahraini people's endeavours to promote national dialogue and ensure that it engages all social groups and segments in the kingdom, hailing, in particular, the initiative of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The committee also discussed a draft law amending some articles of a law on preventing money laundering to include representatives of Justice and Interior ministries.
