Head of the Shura Council's Committee for Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Dr. Salah Ali Abdulrahman lauded the recent visit paid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Japan, saying it has opened broader horizons for bilateral cooperation in various fields.
He pointed out that the visit reflects Bahrain's keenness to further reinforce links with brotherly and friendly countries.
He said the visit would have a positive impact on deep-rooted historical relations between both countries, stressing the importance of availing of the Japanese expertise in various areas.
Dr. Salah also praised parliamentary cooperation between Bahrain and Japan which, he said, serves sustainable development in both countries.
He also hailed the cooperation agreements signed during the visit in the industrial, trade, economic, military and educational fields.
Dr. Salah concluded by saying that the visits of HM the King represent an opportunity to project the kingdom's civilization, culture and reforms, calling on official and NGOs to reach out to their foreign counterparts and convey the truth about the incidents in Bahrain and answer queries within the framework of national and moral responsibility to defend the nation and people.
