It is the highest executive authority of the Council under the authority of the Council’s Chairman. The Council Bureau consists of the Chairman and his Vice-Chairpersons and includes the Chairmen of the substantive Committees provided for in Clauses 1,2,3,4 and 5 of the first paragraph of Article 21 of the Shura Council internal regulation, once they’re elected. The Bureau represents the upper management of the Shura Council and it considers setting the agenda for the meetings of the Council. Also, it considers the draft annual budget of the Council, the draft final account, and follows up the work of the Council’s committees and their reports and assists these committees in establishing rules guiding their work and coordinating aspects of their activities.
