What is RSS Service?
RSS service is a user- friendly tool that enables you to receive the most recent news as soon as the news is posted on your favorite online website. Instead of opening the site pages and searching for the new subjects, RSS service will alert you of the new developments in the news and topics on those sites upon release.
The Shura Council offers RSS service for most of its website pages, such as the Council news, the Speaker’s news, the Council’s events and functions, etc. How can I benefit from the RSS service?
To begin with you need to download a program named “News Reader” which displays on your computer screen the information offered by the RSS service from the sites which you select.
After downloading the News Reader software, you only have to identify the sites and pages you wish to access on the RSS service. How can I get the News Reader software?
There are several versions of the News Reader software available on the Internet. To download one of the versions, click on the proposed link at the bottom of the page.
Please note that you must select the News Reader software which is compatible with you operating system, Windows or Mac
Then, all you have to do is to follow the News Reader usage instructions to add the selected pages to the list of your RSS to start receiving what is called XML transmissions of those pages.
