The Shura Council today issued a statement in which it denounced one of the political associations' exceeding the bounds of the national consensus expressed in the kingdom's constitution and National Action Charter, which poses a real threat to the national unity and social harmony and violates the prevailing conventions and traditions of the kingdom.

In the statement, the council also condemned the "irresponsible" statements against Bahrain's Royal rule, constitution, individuals and families, asserting that all political Societies should work hard to promote national unity and adhere to the principles of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Royal Reform Project which was supported and accepted by all Bahraini citizens.

The council also appealed to all parties to commit to the national harmony and assume their national responsibilities aiming to consolidate the national unity to preserve Bahrain's achievements attained thanks to the Wise leadership of HM King Hamad, the follow-up of his government led by His Royal Highness Premier Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
