Meeting No (8), November 28th , 2011 – Second Convening Period – Third Legislative Term

The Shura Council held its weekly session this morning under the Chairmanship of H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh.  The Council extended warm good wishes to the wise leadership on the occasion of new hijri year 1433.

The Council agreed on two draft laws approving the framework cooperation agreement between GCC countries and Malaysia and the amended unified regulation to combat drowning and measures of compensation and precaution.
 
The Council agreed on the recommendation of the legislative and legal affairs committee in regard to rejecting establishment of administration audit court.

The Council praised the speech of his majesty at the ceremony which took place last week for submission of the report of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI), stressing his majesty's keenness to achieve justice and safeguard the rights of the Bahraini citizen.

The Council also praised the royal order to establish national committee to relate to the recommendation of BICI, praising in this aspect, the level of profession enjoyed by the commission.

The Shura Council called upon all divisions of the community to accept the results of the investigation for unity and harmony between all sects and factions of the Bahraini society.

On the occasion of Bahrain's celebration of Bahraini woman day, the council recited a statement praising efforts exerted by Bahraini women in various fields.
