"Your patronage of the opening session is a catalyst for the democratic march," HRH the Premier said.

He hailed His Majesty for stressing in his keynote address the importance of the GCC which draws its strength from its leaders' and peoples' belief in co-operation in all fields, citing particularly the crucial role of the Peninsula Shield.

He also backed His Majesty's call for security and stability.

His Majesty received a similar cable from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.

His Majesty's speech reflected the care and keenness towards providing all that is best for the Bahraini people and fulfil their aspirations, HRH the Crown Prince said.
