Council’s website wins the award of E-Content

The Chairman of the Shura Council His Excellency Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, praised the achievements attained by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of e-government, and the qualitative advantage accomplished by the staff working in this area, making the Kingdom positioned advanced regional and international level in the field of information technology and e-government.

H.E. appraised the efforts exerted by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, for backing the activities of the electronic government, for its efforts towards electronic development in all bodies of the Kingdom.
 
H.E. evaluated the services provided by e-government to the citizens, noting that these services will help facilitating transactions and procedures, and demonstrated the transmission of the Kingdom towards the ranks of advanced countries in information technology, and harnessed to serve the general living of the citizens, pointing out that this reflects the Kingdom coping with technological and technical development, especially since the people of Bahrain is characterized by persistence to increase the attributes of the possibilities and capabilities of knowledge and technical expertise.
 
H.E. indicated on the occasion of the Council’s website winning the award of e-Content during the Bahrain International Forum for e-government 2010 which was held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

The Shura Council has contributed through its work in the past four years in supporting the Global awareness of technical and culture technology, stressing the necessity to continue this approach and the need to circulate it, even in the curriculum of the students, where the technological knowledge is needed to create a younger generation that is capable to deal with it.
