On the occasion of celebrating Bahraini Woman's Day, which is commemorated on the first of December represents culmination of achievements and gains for Bahraini woman, under the patronage granted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Shura Council extends sincere congratulations and blessings to all Bahraini women who contributed in the building and growth of their country, and its renaissance, stressing that this day is an annual stand for celebrating and recognizing the efforts of the Bahraini women, who worked for the advancement and progress of the country, expressing pride in the Bahraini woman, appreciating highly the efforts of the wise leadership reflected in giving women their full rights, in recognition of their grand role and contributions in various fields.
The anniversary comes this year under the theme "Bahraini woman and voluntary work ... 55 years of sharing and participation," to reflect the shining of Bahraini women in the field of voluntary work, the Shura Council in line with the celebrations of the Kingdom to celebrate the achievements of Bahraini women, extend our thanks and appreciation to all the women who vowed themselves to help others on voluntary and spontaneously basis, and providing service to the community in which they live in, confirming that the women's voluntary work is a social and healthy phenomenon that achieve coherence, harmony and fraternity among the members of the society.
While we commend the status of Bahraini women's achievements and hard work, we express our great appreciation and pride in the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeekha bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of his majesty, as the voice of all the concerns of Bahraini women and the aspirations and needs, assuring our confidence that Bahraini woman will continue their active role through her presence in all fields, for achieving a qualitative quality pursued by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continued follow-up by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the tireless efforts of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
