Meeting No (30), May 14, 2012 – Second Convening Period – Third Legislative Term

His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, the Chairman of Shura Council, presided over the meeting of the Council’s Bureau which was held this Monday morning and was attended by Their Excellencies the Chairmen of the permanent committees and His Excellency the Secretary General and Legal Counsel of the Shura Council. The meeting reviewed a list of the draft laws, bills and proposed laws under consideration by the Council; whether those which are being examined by the Council’s committees or which are awaiting presentation in the general meetings of the Shura Council.

At the end of the meeting, the Council’s Bureau approved the agenda of the coming session which will include discussion of the report by the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, on a proposed law for amendment of article 76 of the real estate registration law, promulgated by decree by law No.15 for the year 1979, filed by Their Excellencies members: Khalid Husain Al-Maskati, Jamal Mohammad Fakhro, Dr. Nada Abbas Haffaz Halah Ramzi Fayiz and Dr. Bahiya Jawad Al-Jishi, report by the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee on a proposal to set up a permanent committee in the Shura Council under the name of “Human Rights Committee”, filed by Their Excellencies the members: Dr. Salah Ali Muhammad, Khalil Ebrahim Al-Zawadi, Abdul Rahman Mohammad Jamsheer, Ahmad Ebrahim Behzad, Munira Isa bin Hindi, Hamad Mubarak    Al-Naimi, Dr. Aisha Salim Mubarak and Hala Ramzi Fayez, in addition to the report by the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on the financial statements for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2011 to the Shura Council which were audited by the Financial and Administrative Control Bureau.
