THE Shura Council yesterday approved Bahrain joining the amended International Customs Organisation convention alongside other GCC countries as one entity.

Currently, all GCC countries are represented individually in the organisation, but recent amendments have meant that countries with unified customs could join as one.

The amended convention has already been approved by parliament and will now be presented to His Majesty King Hamad for ratification.
