Shura Council lauds achievements since National Action Charter plebiscite

The Shura Council has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier on the 19th anniversary of the National Action Charter.
The Shura expressed deep pride in Charter that marks an outstanding milestone in Bahrain's national history, stressing that the anniversary is an occasion for Bahrainis to renew allegiance to HM the King and to reaffirm the Arabism and independence of the Kingdom under the wise leadership HM the King.
Through endorsing the National Action Charter with 98.4 percent of the votes, Bahrainis have affirmed their support to HM the King's vision for development, reform and progress, the Shura said.
They set, through their national unity, the most wonderful examples, and marked with hope and determination the progress of the nation based on an enlightened approach, a noble vision and an astute foresight that are consistent with their ambitions and aspirations, it added.
"The Shura Council expresses its pride the national accomplishments during the prosperous era of HM the King since the National Action Charter plebiscite," the statement said.
"The Shura confirms that the process of national action continues to move forward at various levels, based on the solid foundations of the Constitution and the national Action Charter. The Shura pledges to HM the King and the honorable people of Bahrain to work wholeheartedly to support and enhance the nation-building process and development in the Kingdom."
