Shura Council to prioritise state budget discussions
The Shura Council’s Bureau has affirmed the importance of prioritising the discussion of the draft state budget 2015-2016.

This came as the Shura Council’s Bureau convened here today under the chairmanship of the Council’s Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, in the presence of First Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohammed Fakhro and other members.

The panel stressed the need to speed up the discussion of the draft state budget soon after the Representatives Council refers to the Shura Council to ensure the continuity of government projects and services.

The Bureau lauded the great cooperation between the legislative branch and the government in order to finalise the discussion of the draft budget through trying to reach consensual visions that strike a balance between providing decent living for the citizens, on the one hand, and ensuring the necessary liquidity to fund infrastructure and housing projects
