Washington - Bahraini Parliamentary Delegation Head Dr. Salah Ali has stressed in a meeting with US Congressman Mike Conaway, the Kingdom’s commitment to the National Dialogue to reach common visions.

“Boosting national achievements is the best way to reach the aspired democratic progress,” he said.

“Bahrain has overcome the crisis and is ushering in a new phase aimed at creating a national consensus through dialogue,” he said expressing hope that the aspirations of Bahraini people will be met.

“The Kingdom’s efforts to promote Bahrain’s democratic achievements are thanks to the royal reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,” he added.

“The Royal Call for the comprehensive National Dialogue, which will kick-start early next month, is a crucial step on the path of reform,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, the US congressman expressed delight over the meeting said that he will release a press statement in which he will talk about Bahrain’s national dialogue and its importance in reaching a national consensus.

“The 230-year-old democracy in the USA still requires reform and progress for the benefit of the American people,” he said stressing the need for Bahrain to lay a solid background for its nascent and thriving democracy.
