Washington, June 21 (BNA) -- A Bahraini parliamentary delegation currently on a visit to the United States, led by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security at the Bahrain Shura Council, Dr. Salah Ali, affirmed today that the National Dialogue due to start in July is highly appreciated at the regional and international levels, which shows that it is a significant step initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as a national initiative to reach constant stability in the Kingdom and to keep harmony in Bahraini society, based on dialogue and democratic principles.
This came during the delegation’s meeting with Charles Dujon, Legal Counsel of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Office of U.S. Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. During the meeting, the Bahrain delegation invited the the U.S. Congressman to pay a visit to the Kingdom and see the current situation.
The delegation stressed on the leading role played by parliamentary Bahraini diplomacy regarding international communication to illustrate Bahrain's commitment to all international principles, particularly in regards to the application of democracy and human rights, which are exploited by some to influence the decision-making centers around the world.
