Reporting Line: The Section, organizationally, reports to the  Directorate of Committee Affairs and Research.

Overall Objective: To prepare and provide the necessary  data, studies, researches and information to their excellencies the members, Council’s committees and directorates of the Council’s General Secretariat and to provide translation services to the members and the Council’s General Secretariat.
 
Directorate’s Duties:

1. To prepare studies, researches and work papers in the fields related to the nature of the Council’s activities.

2. To satisfy the needs of  the members or the General Secretariat of all data, information and  statistics.

3. To attend the meetings of the specialized committees of the Council and to prepare the necessary studies and reports on the topics under discussion as per the instructions of the committee’s chairman and members.

4. To prepare reports and summaries that are related to the activities of the Council or those that maybe of interest to the members and fall within the competence of its committees.

5. To prepare plans covering the research and studies needs of the Council in co-ordination with the General Secretariat.

6. To respond to the inquiries of the Council’s members and offer help whether by phone, fax or email.

7.  To seek help of think tanks and research and studies centers to conduct some necessary studies, researches and translation for the Council when necessary.

8. To provide translation services to the members of the Council, its committees and the General Secretariat.

9. To pursue and track the conferences and symposia with regard to the issues related to the activities of the Council and its committees and collect the documents related to them.  

10. To co-ordinate with the Directorate of Information Technology to feed the Council’s website with the activities of the Section.
