The Assistant Secretariat General for Parliamentary Affairs is following the Secretary-General of the Council, and supervised by the Assistant Secretary General for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Nasser. Its responsibility is to facilitate the work of the Council with respect to Council's meetings, its standing and ad-hoc committees and facilitate the procedures for their Hon. Members of the council.
The Assistant Secretariat-General for Parliamentary Affairs is subordinated by the Department of Sessions Affairs dedicated to preparing the agendas of the Council, the minutes of the meetings and the Council annual reports and preparation of comprehensive indexes, in addition to Directorate of Committees Affairs and Research concerning the implementation of committees' decisions and recommendations and preparing of reports.
The Assistant Secretariat-General for Parliamentary Affairs is working towards coordinating the meetings of all standing, joint and ad-hoc committees. Coordination is made with both Directorates to accomplish all with regard to Sessions Affairs and committees for the final submission to His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council to take appropriate decisions, consistent with the policy of the Council.
