What is RSS Service?
RSS service is an easy to use device which enables you to receive the most recent news when it breaks out on you Internet Favorites. Instead of opening the pages of the sites and searching for new subjects, RSS service will alert you to the news and issues as they unfold once they are published on the those websites.
The Shura Council website provides the RSS service for most pages of the site, such as the Council News, the Speaker’s News, and the Council Events.
How can I benefit from the RSS Service?
First, you will be required to secure software called “News Reader”. This program will display on your computer screen the information provided by the RSS services from the sites you select.
After obtaining the News Reader software, you only have to identify the sites and pages from which you wish to secure the RSS Service.
How do I get the News Reader software?
There are several versions of the News Reader software available on the Internet. To download one of them on your computer, click on the proposed link at the bottom of the page.
Please note that you need to select the News Reader software which is compatible with the operating system of your computer (Window or Mac).
The first three proposed links are suitable for Windows while the last link is suitable for Mac.
How can I subscribe to RSS service of the Shura Council website?
Select the page from which you want to receive the most recent news, such as the Council News page, for example www.shura.bh , click on RSS link at the bottom of the page.
Then, follow the use instructions of the News Reader to add the pages selected from your RSS list in order to receive what is called XML transmissions for all selected pages.
