On the occasion of concluding the second ordinary session of the third legislative term, I would like on behalf of myself and all members of the Shura Council to offer utmost gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for sponsorship and consideration, renewing on this occasion our loyalty to His Majesty and our beloved Bahrain, wishing His Majesty success in leading our procession towards growth and development.
We would like also to express appreciation to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for the Government cooperation with the council in exercising constitutional jurisdiction, wishing His Royal Highness success in his good efforts to achieve development and prosperity for the good of our beloved country.
Furthermore, we would like to extend our gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the exerted efforts towards supporting, backing and following-up the works of the council and the continued efforts in the field of economic development for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

At the end of the second ordinary session of the third legislative term, I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to all of you for the sincere efforts and distinguished interest in practicing the burden of national responsibility which you were assigned to in frame of constitutional jurisdiction, either through public sessions of the council or through meetings of specialized committees, which were full of substantive and constructive discussions characterized by honesty, robustness, equanimity and great feeling of national responsibility, which resulted in enlightened visions, righteous decisions that collectively teemed to the welfare of our beloved Bahrain and citizens.
Dear brothers and sisters……
During the second ordinary session of the third legislative term, your council attained many achievements starting from the reply to His Majesty's speech, which came in accordance to His Majesty's good aspirations and ambitions to the Bahrain's present-day and its bright future, review, study, and approving the decrees by laws and draft laws which encountered subjects of concern to the country and citizen, in addition to the bill proposals which included important subjects submitted by members of the council, that referred to the government to be drafted in bills format, besides a great number of draft laws related to joining international agreements and conventions which boosted Bahrain's international stance, and enhanced its Gulf, Arab and regional status.
In addition to the whole legislative work, you have carried out a study and a scrutiny to the Bahrain constitution amendment project and its interpretation memo, which came in the frame of His Majesty's desire to achieve Kingdom's development and growth into new wider horizons of reforms and development, and the visions of the national consensus dialogue, praising in this regard the high responsibility you shouldered to study thoroughly these amendments which accordingly your council took the appropriate decision that focused on our aspirations to continue the path of reform and modernization for the development and prosperity for our beloved Kingdom under the rule of our wise leadership.
In the field of political and social interaction with the national, regional, Arab and international occurrences, the council took the initiative to issue a number of statements sincerely expressing your true opinions, visions and direction.
I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to thank you all and praise your efforts in representing the council in the parliamentary meeting with counterpart councils, and representing Bahrain's inter-parliamentary group in the gulf, Arab and international parliamentary conferences with your colleagues members of the Councils of Representatives. Furthermore, you have achieved a required and a necessary attendance in these parliamentary gathering and parliamentary diplomatic mission, which reflected in a true way the bright image of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the advancement and development of the legislative authority under the patronage of His Majesty.
In conclusion…..
I would like to express gratitude to the minister of the Shura and Representatives Councils affairs Mr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Fadhel for his continued attendance for the sessions of the Council and his wise deliberations in discussions, and for his continued cooperation in responding to all requests to facilitate the work of the council, we also express our thanks to the ministers for their attendance to the sessions of the council, committees meetings or the attendance of their representatives of senior staff and their deliberations in the discussions of the council and the committees, and institutions and establishments of the civil society which left a good effect on the work of the council and its specialized committees.
Also, I would like to thank the members of the council's bureau who shouldered a great effort in assisting me in carrying out the loads of the work of the council, similarly I thank the secretary general of the council Mr. Abduljaleel Altareef, his assistants, advisors, officials and the employees of the general secretariat for their hard and continued work to carry out tasks and responsibilities of the Council's presidency, bureau and members.
Finally, I wouldn't miss offering thanks to the press, media and newspapers representatives who covered the work of the council and committees, we also would like to thank the cadre and officials working at the television and the radio who covered the proceedings of the council's meetings during the period of the session, likewise appreciations also to the security officers and police force who stays awake to protect this grand democratic edifice.
